The Kwara South Youth Development Organization (KWAYORG), Electoral Committee under the chairmanship of Comrade Abdulrasaq Ismaheel Opeyemi has released the timetable for a rescheduled general election.


The Chairman of the committee in his statement to all KWAYORG qualified candidates and youths of Kwara South senatorial district who are official members of the organization said after reviewing the earlier inconclusive and now cancelled November 12th, 2023 election and series of meetings with the relevant stakeholders, we are pleased to announced 27th April, 2024 as the new date for KWAYORG election.


He stressed further to assure the contestants and the electorates of a peaceful atmosphere with maximum security on election day, anyone with personal security should ensure they are 10 meters away from the election venue, chairman said. 



Ismaheel commended the KWAYORG Central Working Committee and the organization BOTs for their unrelenting efforts toward having a rancor-free election process.


Opeyemi encourages the candidates and electorates to be a good ambassadors of the region and show the world the amazing things our region has to offer. As youths, we have the power to make a positive impact and represent our region with pride. Let's preach the change we want to see


Most importantly, all members should be aware that only information that is coming out from the electoral committee remains authentic. He urged the public to disregard any other sources of information concerning the election process. Abdulrasaq added.


Finally, all electorates are to come to the election ground with their citizenship certificate original or photocopy and any other regulatory ID card that matches the names on their certificate of origin.
