PRESS STATEMENT

As part of the unwavering commitment of the Ekiti Youth Navigators (EKYN) to advocate for sustainable growth and meaningful development in Ekiti Local Government Area, members of the association featured on a radio programme yesterday to draw public attention to critical issues affecting our communities.

During the programme, we highlighted several pressing concerns requiring urgent intervention from the relevant authorities. These included the deplorable condition of the federal road passing through our Local Government Area, which has become a death trap due to its deteriorating state and has claimed lives and damaged property.

We also discussed the growing security challenges confronting our communities, the need for improved healthcare services, better educational infrastructure, access to potable water, youth empowerment and employment opportunities, reliable electricity supply, and other essential social amenities necessary for the well-being and socio-economic development of our people.

The Ekiti Youth Navigators reiterated that these issues are not merely complaints but genuine concerns that demand immediate and coordinated action from all levels of government and relevant stakeholders. We remain committed to engaging constructively, advocating peacefully, and collaborating with all interested parties to ensure that Ekiti Local Government Area receives the attention and development it deserves.

We sincerely appreciate the radio station for providing a platform to amplify the voices of our people. We also thank the good people of Ekiti Local Government Area for their continued support and encourage them to remain united in the collective pursuit of progress, accountability, and sustainable development.
